We started out in the classroom with a few invitations, we then went outside and had a few more invitations. Outside on the playscape we had the doll house, geo board and rubber bands, sand, slide and loose parts. We then headed inside to do potties, and then borrowed the mud kitchen on the big playscape!
While taking turns to potty, we voted on what to do next, go for a walk or play on the playscape. Amazingly enough there were 23 votes in a classroom of 13. So, we voted again making only one mark instead of several. The children made predictions on which had more, and which had less. Then we counted and wrote the number and decided which won. They playscape WON!!
We took the spools out for them to roll down the hill and we had the kitchen open. The children were busy digging in the dirt, making food, and enjoying the wonderful Spring Day.
