It is the day of all days.... Pajama Day and festivities in the evening.  Everyone is very excited about tonight.   Please remember to take a photo of your ACORN and send it to us.  We will print them out and then allow the children to carry their costume self to all the activities for the rest of the year.

Whole School Dance Party

                         We celebrated the good health of Nurse Sarah and Ms. Erin wearing PINK and SHAKING OUR PINK RIBBONS!!!

Once the dance party finished- we went back to the southside and enjoyed caper day.

Shape Hunt and Reminders

 We walked to the secret bridge today.  The Acorns were able to identify rectangles and triangles supporting the bridge.  Who knew shapes were everywhere??? Yes.... Mr. Kevin helps us go on walks.  We cannot tell you enough how much we appreciate him!!!

Voting

 We have another box to add to our house. We voted on which color to paint the box  Red, Orange or Pink. Orange WON!! We counted the tallies from each column discussed which number was bigger, which number was smaller and which color won.  We also colored this morning along with our other activities.

Wear pink on Wednesday and pajamas on Thursday.

 

 

 

 

      The Acorns are getting great at voting. They are passing the markers to the next Acorn and then they get up and vote.  Well done ACORNS!!

PAT is asking for help for their Fall Forage. 

Ms. Angie came to our room and told us that Ginger the Giraffe had a costume on.  So we grabbed our coats and walked to go see her.

She looks like a MOMMY MOMMY - then one finally said Mummy.

Picture Day

We spent the day trying to help everyone self-regulate and become happy.  I'm not sure why picture day is so challenging. Once we arrived back in acorn, we had snack, and tried to move forward with our day. We ended up projecting a train and everyone settled down.  Then we went out for some fresh air.  The calming properties of the great outdoors is amazing, which is why most days we start outside.
