Friday Capers!

It has been awhile since we were able to do small capers, so the Acorns were really excited to explore some other spaces today! There were lots of fun activities in the Acorn room, as well as Seedling, Willow, and Sycamore. Some favorites were playdough, dress up, dinosaurs, and loose parts. There were also scooters in the hallway! When we came back to the classroom, we were still pretty active, so we danced and did an obstacle course. It was a great day!
The Acorns have been doing SO WELL with potty training the past few days! We are so proud of them! Thank you for continuing to work with them. :) Have a wonderful weekend!

In and Around the WG

We cannot get enough of the trains and the excavator! We set off on another walk this morning. We stopped at a special bridge to get a good view of the train, and the Acorns were so excited to see it up close! After that, we walked over to see the excavator. We went to a new spot, so we got to get really close to the excavator, as well. It was a great day to be outside!
P.S. Tonight is Pizza Night at Jet's! Feel free to stop by and grab a pie and support Ambrose! :)

Transitions

Wow!  This week has been really interesting.  The children that are potty training are doing a GREAT JOB!!  Thanks to all the parents for getting on board.  We have had some accidents from children who don't usually EVER have accidents, and are wondering if Spring Break threw them off their potty game.  Nevertheless,  the children are transitioning back to the classroom routine.  It's interesting to wonder what the children think about breaks in school.  Did the teachers just disappear? Where did school go? Why did I see my teacher at the park?

Today was a forest day.  We forgot to tell everyone to wear rain boots, because the forest would be muddy.  So we walked up to the forest, had a snack, went by the construction on Grey Ave, then we introduced ourselves to the man controlling the lifter.  We now call him Mr. Lifter. Then walked down to see the excavator and SIX dump trucks!! We are so grateful to have such a wonderful community to walk around in and see different things.
The train.
The forest.
The excavator.
The dump truck.
The sculpture park.
Rolling Ridge and many others.

More Outside Adventures!

You know we had to get back outside this morning! We are loving this sunshine. First, we had a little adventure to the Big Playscape. The Acorns were really excited for a change of scenery! They loved exploring the large sand area, slide, and gardens.

This morning, Z and O had some news for us: they saw the big tree in the Forest being chopped up! We decided we needed to check that out as well, and asked the Seedlings to join us. There were lots of big trucks, chainsaws, and a wood chipper! What more could you ask for?! ;) On the walk back, we decided to stop to see an excavator. The Seecorns were mystified! All in all, we had a fun day in the sun!

Welcome Back!

What a fun first day back! We missed our Acorn friends and loved hearing their stories about spring break. Sounds like everyone had a great week off to regroup and spend time with family. We were busy today! Over the weekend, Ms. DeeDee noticed a big tree that had fallen in the Forest, so obviously we needed to go check it out. We walked down, and the Acorns were so excited to do some climbing and exploring! The Forest was looking especially magical today, too, with lots of crocuses and daffodils blooming. Maybe spring has finally sprung?! On the walk back, we stopped to look at the house that is being built close to school. The workers were using machines, so it was a very slow walk back to school, as you can imagine-- those Acorns sure love machines! ;)
Have a great Monday!

Happy Thursday!!

It was wonderful being able to sit and talk with all of you.  We enjoyed speaking with you and sharing all the wonderful things about your children.

We hope you have time over spring break to spend quality time with your children.  It is times like these that make memories of a life time.  Childhood is short and sweet,  take the time to enjoy your little ones.  They will be teenagers before you know it!

So, of course we had to have small capers!!

OH, Don't forget about POTTY TRAINING and UNDERWEAR MONDAY!!!
