Happy Friday!!

 Thanksgiving Break is right around the corner! WE are open Monday and Tuesday of next week.  We are closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of next week. 

Today we checked on the Acorns to make sure they were moist and cold.  Everything seems to be going as planned. Hopefully we will be growing a FOREST after winter break.

Small Capers

Unfortunately the rain this morning kept us from going to the forest. After our morning meeting we had a small capers with the Seedling Room. Acorns had the opportunity to make choices in both rooms. After small capers, Acorns did an obstacle course and practiced several gross motor skills.

Wacky Wednesday

      We were very busy today..... with playdough, magnifying glasses, a walk, the train and "phones".  While on our walk, we found a worm and it was alive!  The children had to investigate, while the worm was trying to hide under a leaf to escape.  Eventually I picked up the worm and took it to safety. We are still collecting acorns to test in the water.  Today we tested a sweet gum ball.... it bounced and then floated.

We need to check on our acorns that are "in winter" tomorrow to make sure they are still moist.  We need to count how many days the acorns have been "in winter", and hopefully the weather will cooperate so that we can go to the forest tomorrow.
