Cookies, cocoa and marshmallows

The Acorns had a really fun last day of school before winter break! We started our morning by finishing one friend's birthday celebration. He got to pick two friends to help him paint a coffee filter with bingo dobbers. 

 Our Acorns seemed really excited about their pajamas they talked to each other a lot about what was on their jammies and noticing when other friends had the same ones or similar ones. During small capers they had the chance to sip some hot cocoa in the Sycamore Room and use builders, dress up clothes and floam. In Seedling Room they each got a sugar cookie to decorate and in Willow they had ramps and a rocket ship to explore. In the Seedling Room friends road the train and danced out their sugar. :)

Small capers pathways in the gym

Today we took groups of friends from other classrooms during small capers with a few Acorns at a time to the gym to use blocks to make pathways. Some of the older children had different ideas for how to create a path. One older child said he wanted to use the tunnel so friends worked together to create a pathway that was long enough to reach over to the tunnel behind the climbing wall.
