Our intention this morning was to go to the secret alley and bridge. With all the construction going on near our secret bridge, we decided to walk down Gore where we saw a train, on the way to the Sculpture Park. There we sanitized hands and made a small bowl with our shirts and had a snack and headed back to school for lunch.

REMINDER- WE CLOSE AT 4:00 Wednesday
WE CLOSE AT 11:15 FRIDAY
We walked down W. Lockwood to Elm to the Fire-station- there we sanitized our hands, made a bowl with our shirts and had snack while looking at the 2 Fire Trucks. We then circled around back to school past the chickens, through the swarm of cicadas and finally back into the building.
We were very happy to head to the forest today, we heard that there was a new bridge, and that a large tree had fallen. We wanted to check it out to see if our bluebird house survived.
The Bluebird House Survived!
We then headed into the forest. As we walked, we saw ci-craders. They are everywhere!!!
Katie H walked down a path, and the ci-craders swarmed.
We then exited the forest and headed out for Plan B. After all these years of teaching, there is always a Plan B
Last Full FRIDAY! So WE DANCED- and avoided the cicadas.....
Before we get too busy with end of the year things, we decided to finish celebrating Acorn Birthdays. So, Happy Birthday to the Summer Birthday children!! Five and a half more days! Can you believe it?!
Today we had a tiny caper with oak. All the other classrooms were busy with other things. We enjoyed our caper day and explored materials in both rooms.
The Cicadas are everywhere.... so we obviously have been talking about them. Fingers crossed it ends sooner rather than later.
