Last Day as an ACORN

It has been quite the adventure with the Acorns and Seedlings.  We spend a lot of time together...which is wonderful, because we (the teachers) are all so different.

We are able to meet all the needs of every child.

We were supposed to walk to K's "moms church" and give them a gift today, unfortunately we forgot that we needed to plant our tomatoes, peppers, beans and watermelon.

We got so hot, we came in, washed up, ate snack and got on one last pathway.....
a train was projected on the screen where all the chairs are lined up.

our last time all being together......

Good luck little acorns, we will miss you.....

Happy Birthday M & J

Today we celebrated our last two summer birthdays! Two friends actually share a birthday so we got to celebrate them both today. There's some confusion about the Celebrate the Joy party with celebrating birthdays some friends think the party tonight is their birthday party :) We hope to see you all there!

Last forest day!

Today we enjoyed our final trip to the forest as Acorns.

"There's a bear!"

"We're friendly monsters."

"I found a magic wand." "Bipptity boppity boo."

Gift drop

This morning we celebrated one of our friends who has a summer birthday.

"Is it your birthday?" M
"Yes. It is my birthday." T

We also gave each friend a gift and headed out on the longest walk yet. Each friend decided where they wanted to place one last gift. Many friends said they wanted to give the fountain by the fire station a gift and another friend suggested the library.

Along the way some friends spotted places they wanted to put their gifts.

We also gave a gift to central office and two inside the library!

They've grown up so much!

We can't believe we are running out of days in the Acorn Room. Your children have grown into curious, strong, kind, hard working pre-schoolers right before our eyes. It's been SUCH a joy to learn among your children this year and I will forever remember each one of them. They've touched my heart and taught me so much.

Below is a picture of them today and a picture of them from one of the first few day of school.
