PJ Friday!!!

The kids were adorable in their Pajamas!! The weather was not so great so we did a ton of stuff indoors!  We had our dance party!! We changed the sensory table, and added our nature to some rice! We had loose parts on the mirror, and we traced leaves.

We took a break and had a morning snack, and then PAT came in and did all our screenings!!

Then, we got the tools out and had the train projecting on the wall.  The children decorated the treehouse with acorns.

Have a safe and happy weekend!!

This was a magical moment that happened today...this is the first time the acorns were all engaged with each other, talking, laughing and playing.  Susan and I were able to listen and document the children...

Forest Day

It was rainy, but it was worth it!!  The forest is where we learn soooooo much!!  Today, we had some new interactions between children, we learned who is very clean and who is dirty!  We also learned that the children's clothes in their cubby's need to be switched out.  Shorts are no longer an option.  We need pants, and underwear (for those of you who are potty training). With that said, we are focusing on the children being independent.  It is time.  They push down their pants when it is potty time, they pull off their diapers when they are only wet diapers. The children put their diaper in the trash. The children help put their clean diaper on and pull up their own pants. They then go get soap and wash and dry their hands.  The Acorn Teachers would love for this to be a time when home and school can collaborate and get these children potty trained and independent!!  If you have questions, just let us know.

Don't forget, tomorrow is Pajama Day!!  2 piece jammies preferred.
