We walked to the forest and planted an oak (acorn tree). N- what the trees name? D2 - I don't know what do you want to name it? So, when we got back to the classroom we voted on what to name the tree. The choices were Thomas, Kitty Cat and Dog. Thomas won!! So, the next time you are in the area, stop by and say hello to the Thomas Oak ( corn tree).

For the past two weeks we have been reading the book “When a Tree Falls.” When we went to the Forest today we looked for fallen trees. E. found a log and wondered if it was a nurse log. The Acorns looked for animals in the log. Eventually M. found a worm.
N- one of our acorns, brought in ACORNS for EVERYONE!! He was so excited to share acorns with everyone!! So check you backpacks, a special acorn is coming home.
Friday at 3:30 we will be having our Arbor Celebration! Come by and pick up an OAK TREE for
YOUR ACORN!!
Today the WGHS Jazz band came and shared their music with us. We also talked about what instruments they were playing. The new instruments with strings was called a Bass.
After we left the concert, we had our regular caper day. Then we went out and enjoyed the sunshine.
Today we set up bugs in all sections of the room. The children could make bug houses, bugs in the sensory table, we had birds and nests at the mad matter, and dobber painting. We talked about them voting on Friday, and they remembered! Well done Acorns.
