Well done Acorns!
Today we celebrated a Summer Birthday. B - painted and we sang Happy Birthday to him and had a dance party!! He chose the cars song...
Acorns love going to the Forest! Today we spotted some animal tracks and tried to guess which animal made them. We saw that the baby pawpaw trees are taller than the Acorns and soon will be taller than the Acorn teachers.
J. and DeeDee were sitting at a table making houses for bugs and he handed DeeDee a "cookie" she then asked him if he drank milk with his cookies. He answered with a glass a milk. I asked how many cookies and what kind of cookies do you eat? He answered chocolate chip. The next day while walking back from the sculpture park milk and cookies came up again.... said he would like to have Milk and Cookies. I asked should we have a party? So today we voted on what cookie to have at the Milk and Cookies Party.

Last Friday, we spent part of the day doing Professional Development. Part of that had to do with the block area and the importance of the area...... Kelly and I revamped the area trying to draw interest. We added the wooden stumps, a few wooden pieces with holes and some natural wood cookies.
Another Acorn is THREE!! We had a great day celebrating D!
Hopefully this is our last Rainy Day!
We did everything.....
And then did some more.
Kelly and I would like to thank everyone for thinking of us during Teacher Appreciation Week . We appreciate the notes, gifts and flowers. I just noticed we only have 9 1/2 days left of school. The year went by so quickly. The children have grown so much, physically and academically.
After our morning activities, we went out to see if we could find the big owl again that we saw last week on a walk. We were not successful in locating the big owl.
This morning we painted a still life of the lovely bouquet of flowers you all created for us using watercolors. We are continuing to explore bugs and insects our book this week I Love BUGS! The children are getting really good at identifying the bugs from the book.
