Spring Fever

Thanks for All the Contributions for the PTO Raffle

 The Acorns have been extremely busy the last few weeks.  We have done all the things..... So today, our plan was to take our "crosswalk" on a walk and head to our Train Viewing Area.

  Breakfast Katie joined us on our walk in the neighborhood, as our regular Katie was in Seedling as we have to share her....

 

First, everyone practiced their letters.

Crosswalk in the Forest

Acorns went to the Forest this morning. Some Acorns found a worm while standing near our meeting tree. They examined the movements of the worm and told the others about it. When we went into the Forest, Acorns danced with dance ribbons. Then we got out our crosswalk and the Acorns started placing the pieces just right.

While we start every Friday the same.... with our wish ribbons dancing to Never Gunna Give You Up- we then turned on the overhead projector.

Maple

 Maple Room helped us gather dandelions on the big playscape today, so our dandelion tea is finally coming together.  While on the big playscape, we explored the big blue blocks, constructed with castle blocks, and glued glitter on sweet gumballs. Dandelion Tea

 Since the Acorn children are looking for ways to transform their world for the better, we are looking at plants- today, we went on a dandelion hunt to make dandelion tea for the sensory table

 (no worries, we will not be drinking the tea....)

We are looking into plants/flowers to improve the beloved forest. Its shady in there, so we need to research native shade plants.

Daily Raffles:

We will be holding five daily raffles – one for each day of the week. Make a $10 donation for one
chance to win one of several daily prizes (generously donated by local businesses). Daily
winners will be announced by 8:00 p.m. on the day of each raffle.
Interested in winning one of the daily prizes? Enter to win by selecting a donation amount. The
more you donate, the greater your chances of winning!
Don’t forget to check back each day this week to enter to win other amazing prizes (as new
prizes will be raffled off daily)!
Please note that the first person selected from each daily raffle will win a prize of their choice
from the prizes identified that day. Each subsequent person selected from the raffle will win their
choice of one prize from the remaining available prizes for the day. Individuals will continue to
be selected until each of the daily prizes have been given away each day.

Artwork Raffle:

Unlike the daily raffle, the artwork raffle will continue all week long, so keep donating all week!
Winners of artwork will be announced by 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024. For each $10
donation, you will be entered to win your child’s classroom artwork. And of course, the more you
donate, the greater your chances of winning!

Fun Friday!!

We had a great time exploring outdoors with Seedling today.  We had sidewalk chalk on the blacktop area, and an easel. 

                                           We observed and drew a lemon and a coconut. 

                                                               We had the large magnets.

                                         We scooped and poured bird seed with bug finders.

There were "bugs" in there, but the children carried them all to the sand area with their fingers! lol

                                                         This is where the bugs ended up.
