Birds in the Birdhouse
The cold weather kept the Acorns inside this morning. We weren’t the only ones spending time inside. Two birds took turns going into one of our birdhouses outside our window. We love looking at and learning about nature even when we need to stay inside.
Acorns got to choose from several activities inside besides bird watching. We built new creations with magnetic cubes or floats and straws. We drew with dry erase markers and tried to cut paper with scissors. We also explored different sensory materials.

Happy Friday!
We were very busy today, it was obviously too cold for us to venture outside, so we explored indoors. We read a new book about Recycling and how to make our world a better place. We clapped it out, talked about the first letter (R) and the sound it makes. We then discussed items that can be recycled.
We had the crosswalk projected
Kinetic sand
Sensory Table
Water Bins
Dry Erase Boards
Magic Sand Table
Old Phones and the Tree house. We hope it warms up soon......

Happy New Year
It was wonderful to see all the smiling faces this morning! Everyone was very excited to be back and very talkative. We added some NEW routines to our daily routine. Our expectations are increasing because it is the New Year!
While we were doing morning potty time, one of the new activities is to come work on spelling your name with scrabble letters. We will alternate this with writing our names in a few weeks, and also counting and matching numbers with items. Stay tuned to the blog when we move on to writing our letters!
