The Acorns did a great job getting to the forest. Our first few times to the forest, we practice routines. We bring a blue blanket, we sit on it a drink our water. I then explain that when a teacher says Acorns blue blanket, they all run to the blanket. So, today we played, called acorns to blue blanket. Then we would all run to the blanket. We practiced this three times. They all did a great job!! Way to listen Acorns.
We took a tour of the forest, we walked inside and ran into a Park Departments worker! Apparently a tree had fallen and they were starting to remove it. There was an excavator with a long rope that went into the forest. We sat waaaayyyyy back, and watched. The excavator moved backwards. We heard a loud crack. Then that was it we had to head back to school to prepare for lunch.
