New Pathway In and Around the WG

The plan was to carve out a new pathway with our friends the Seedlings. They are into firetrucks, and we are into pathways....So, why not combine the two on a wonderful sunny day in January?
We are heading down the street to make our path to the fire station.
We get to the corner and low and behold, a fire truck goes by, did we miss our chance to see a fire truck at the station? Did that truck come from the station we are headed to? So many questions!
We sit across the street from the fire station, and stare. We decide to go to the cross walk, and knock on the fire station door. We are there, we made it, we might as well go see if anyone can show us a truck.
Hurray!!! Fire Fighters are at the "Fire Truck Station"- NE
We meet the fire fighters

They pull out the Ambulance so we can get a good look at the fire truck still pulled in the garage.
 "It's so big."

A fire fighter puts on his gear, to show us what he looks like dressed up in his uniform.

He then gives high fives all around.

What a wonderful outing with our friends the Seedlings.

Letter Hunt

Today when we got to the room, we washed our hands, read the book Joey brought to share and then went on a letter hunt.  We hid the First letter of everyones name on the tree house,
and you had to go find it!

We also had some tiles out with everyones name, and you had to match the tile
with all the letters of you name.

Cooking playdough

Today some friends headed to the kitchen to help make homemade playdough. Friends helped count out how many scoops of ingredients they put in and how many seconds they got to help stir. They seemed to be interested in how the ingredients all changed and turned into playdough. They talked about how it didn't look like playdough and as we added more ingredients and heated it up they kept saying, "It still doesn't look like playdough." Once it was done and formed into playdough they all noticed how it was different than before. We also voted on what color we wanted it to be and blue got the most votes.

"It's blue."

Once we got back to the Acorn Room friends were eager to explore their new playdough.
"I'm making a pancake."

"I made a cheeseburger."

Walking and Talking

Today the Acorns and Seedlings went on a walk together. As we walked by restaurants and businesses friends noticed letters, smells and nature. They pointed out everything they noticed to us and had many conversations with one another.

"There is an L for Lucy."

"It's an microwave oven for waffles."

That's my brother's school.

"I found an Acorn."
We noticed that the clouds were moving very quickly in the sky. We asked the friends why that was and one friend said, "The wind moves the clouds in the sky."

"It's a tiger."
