Snail Exploration

Today our friends all went over to the hillside to explore the snail and notice how it's progressing. Friends quickly headed inside the snail and we heard them singing and shouting so we were wondering if they were noticing how sounds echo in there. On the outside of the snail friends talked about the different colors they saw and the different parts of the snail. Friends also explored other parts of the hillside and they noticed the branches that are down on the ground and they started climbing and hanging on them. 

The day and the Life of an Acorn

 We began the day trying to get to the Zjoo.  I kept asking the children how they were going to get to the Zoo, but they kept taking about the train at the Zoo and that they were going to ride the train once they got there...  The conversation went in circles for a few minutes, then R said we could take a mini van to the Zoo.

 We then moved on to dancing with some ribbons and shadows, CL discovered that if you place your hand on the projector, it becomes a huge shadow on the wall.

 Then, we all put our hands on the projector, but no one else noticed the shadows.

 After morning snack, we went outside and crawled into the tent, rolled balls down the slide and played with Zoo Animals in the sand box.

We had a great day exploring the Acorn room and finally getting back outside to our little playground. We've noticed that our friends have been building with blocks to create trains or homes. Friends have also been working on the climbing wall outside and using chalk to create pictures. Friends also explored an elephant a tent outside! Friends were saying "This is my home."

Rainy Day FUN

 Today we opened another sensory tub full of sand, we had an obstacle course in the hallway along with blocks, the water table, and the tree house.  If that wasn't enough, you could check out the Seedlings and see what was going on in their room.
