Birthday Celebration!

    Another Acorn turned THREE!! For their school celebration, they paint the letter of their first name, we sing Happy Birthday and then we have a DANCE PARTY!!

Best Laid Plans

 We had every intention of checking all the acorns in our room to see which were viable for trees.  We read our story, sang our songs, and then we talked about how an acorn becomes a tree.  I started asking the children where we could put the acorns so that they would be cold for a very long time.  I got crickets..... no one answered.  So, I tried to rephrase the question,  Where do you get milk when you are home?  Where do you get ice-cream when you are home? Still, no answers..... So we will talk about it again on Monday.

Forest Decisions

Acorns found lots of sticks at the Forest today. They tried to determine what sticks were big and what sticks were small.  We then went to the top of the Forest to look at the bear. The AFC wants to name the bear so we went back to the Acorn Room to vote on what name to enter into the Name the Bear contest.

Train!!

 Since we have a new, helpful third person (Ms. Angie), we were able to walk to the train on this beautiful November Fall Day!!

Happy Day Light Savings

 The Acorns were very sleepy at lunch today.  We are wondering how long it will take then to get used to the time change. We celebrated Ms. Sandy returning to work in the Seedling Room, we celebrated an Acorn turning THREE!  We then went for a walk to get some fresh air and look for acorns to test whether they would sink or float. 

 

We decorated a sign, had a donut hole and then a dance party!
