Routines and Procedures

Everyone recovered from their drop off this morning and had a great day!!

Today we did so much!!  We read Llama Llama Red Pajama, we sang our welcome song and then opened a few activities!  Not only did we have the treehouse, magnets and books open, we had the sensory table, the playdough, and dry erase board.  If you look closely at the pictures that were taken today, you may notice that the children are starting to talk to each other..... they were asking each other for dry erase markers!  How exciting is that?!  I know I get excited over the little things...

Other happenings- outside fun with obstacle course- making cake- pretending to eat apples.  We then, came inside and washed up for lunch, and then walked on the sidewalk within the school grounds, following Kelly.  As we always follow Kelly so that everyone gets into the routine when we venture off the school grounds.  We do not want to venture off campus until everyone follows Kelly!

Second Day

This morning went much better.....  We ate breakfast played and explored outdoors and in the Acorn Room. We introduced the overhead projector and sparked some interest.  We also explored with old electronics from the 90'-00's,, played with real keys, made shapes with rubber bands and geoboards. We went on a tiny walk around the school grounds and will continue to play listening games before we venture too far out.
