Today we had a tiny caper with oak. All the other classrooms were busy with other things. We enjoyed our caper day and explored materials in both rooms.
The Cicadas are everywhere.... so we obviously have been talking about them. Fingers crossed it ends sooner rather than later.
After exploring with all the ci-craders all morning..... we came in and had our morning meeting. We read a new story that fits with our question of the year, How might we transform our world for the better? The title of the new book is Take Care Here and Now. It is all about how we could make the world a better place.
We then explored in the classroom until we had enough adults to go on a walk. Then, we saw another great show at the fire station!! We LOVE our neighborhood!
"I am the little acorn that becomes the oak."- John WingerToday’s visit to the Forest focused on finding cicadas. As the Acorns entered the Forest, they looked around and saw many cicadas.
M. said, “There are cicadas everywhere!”
FCF. said, “I found two.”
Then O. found another cicada and counted, “One, two, three!”
T. exclaimed, “I found a bug. I want to catch it.”
Maybe next week we will bring the bug nets and houses.
Thanks for making our Teacher Appreciation Week so wonderful.
