The children came in calm and ready to work. We are continuing to work on the letters of our names. Identifying them and matching sounds with the letter. Well done Acorns.
The rest of the morning was filled with color and sensory.

Happy Half Birthday O! After we completed our morning routine, we sang Happy Birthday and then she picked her favorite song, Wheels on the Bus and we all danced! She then came over to paint her O. What a wonderful Half Birthday Celebration. Sorry parents, she now wants an Ice Cream Cake. (lol)
How do we make Orange? This is the question we will be asking all week. Last week we discussed how to make green. What do colors have to do with transforming our world for the better? Good question. We are currently reading books on how Trees are helpful to our world. What color are the leaves?
We have been reading Oak Tree this week. The Acorns are learning new vocabulary- Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide. We have clapped them out and discussed the first letter of each. Our question to the Acorns, “How might we transform our world for the better?”
Today, after reading our new book, we asked them What is oxygen? M.R. recalled and answered the question! Well done Acorn.
