Fun in the SUN!!

 When the sun is out, the sun is out!  What a heat wave.  We had a busy morning cutting with scissors, drawing, and reading the new books. After morning choices, we decided to head out for a walk,  and discovered no one was in the forest.... so we snuck in for a bit (hence the mud on your children).  We hurried back to watch the Maple Room Fashion Show and then went to lunch.  Where we were served MAC AND CHEESE!!!  Needless to say that made many Acorns very happy.

Monday Madness

                                                                       It's my daddy.....

We had a great morning!  We cut paper with scissors, had bubbles in the sensory table, keys in the box, numbers in the tree house, and dry erase boards.  We then went outside and had water in all the things..... We then went and played and climbed in our favorite bush.  It is lovely that the weather is cooperating.

Thursday Puddle Walk

 We played in the classroom to start the day. After the rain slowed down, we took two puddle walks. It was so much fun to splash in the puddles.

Walking Wednesday

 We were able to start on our walk early enough that we got to go to shady creek. We looked for crocodiles and ducks. We found neither. We did enjoy walking through the woods and looking at the creek.

Falling into Tuesday

We played in the room and were able to take two walks this morning. We had a few tumbles on the walks, luckily nothing serious. We were able to see a cement mixer on one of our walks and a garbage truck! In the room, we worked on symbols with circle paper again. We talked about what to draw and what that would look like before starting to draw.

Monday Monday

 Today we through wildflower seeds into the fairy garden hoping to grow wildflowers over the summer.  We then read Jack's Garden, and The Carrot Seed.  The Acorns are getting soooooo BIG and sooooo SMART!!  We practiced letters, and sounds and had a wonderful May morning.
