Welcome Back!

Welcome back, Acorns! We are having a great first day back at school. There has been lots of excitement today! First of all, we had a new friend join the Acorn room. Please help us welcome A! We are so happy that she is a part of our class. We also had two friends celebrate birthdays over winter break, so they got to paint their birthday rings today. Happy Belated Birthday, A and E! We managed to get outside today, even though it was a little grey. We picked out rain boots and went on a pinecone hunt! We will be starting a project using the pinecones tomorrow, so stay tuned! We had a fun Thursday! We made it outside for a bit this morning before the rain came. Once inside, we set up activities in the Acorn room, and Ms. Julia opened the Seedling room as well. We had flowers to cut and sort, objects to build with (we built a castle and a school), new materials at the light table, markers to make pictures, and the sensory table. Ms. Sandy took groups down to the kitchen to help make pancakes-- yum! There was also an obstacle course in the hallway. Lots to explore!

We had a relaxing post 4th of July day in our jammies and made some popcorn and enjoyed a movie.
